AUDITIONS
Our audition process is a little different this time round so please make sure to read the following below
Next Auditions will be 13th December
Training will commence in January
How does it wORK?
This time round for our audition we are changing it up slightly.
To join either our Youth Collective (12-16) or Senior group (17+) you must firstly submit an audition form which will take you through some questions and will ask for you to upload some media.
The Do Things Different team will then review all submissions and select a number of dancers to invite down to the in person auditions who they feel would be a right fit to join our company. If you are unsuccessful this time round you are more than welcome to re-audition again in August.
If you are successful and chosen you will attend our in person taster day audition to experience what it’s like at our training company and will have the opportunity to speak to the current members and teachers!
About the audition
Auditions are free and take place every August & December to start training in September or January for those that wish to join the company.
You will take part in a 3 hour audition that will consist of learning choreography in different styles, along with a chat with one of our panelist at the end of the day.
You do not need to prepare anything to bring to the audition with you.
If you would like to audition for the company but are unable to attend the in person audition, please contact us.
What we’re looking for
We are currently seeking dancers who posses a willingness and openness to undergo training in a diverse range of dance styles. Our objective is to provide an extensive selection of dance styles, aiming to cultivate versatile dancers who can excel in various disciplines. By nurturing their creativity and expanding their knowledge, we aspire to produce well-rounded performers.
For more information about the training please see the company page.
More information
Applicants do not have to have a huge amount of experience, however we do ask for applicants to have some dance experience regardless of style as we want to collaborate with dancers from various dance backgrounds.
If you are uncertain about applying or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via email. We would be more than happy to have a conversation with you.
‘The training has been amazing at do things different! I've learnt many diverse styles while also strengthening the styles I've trained in. The teachers have been great with helping individuals and the group as a whole while also maintaining a safe and experimental space. I feel like I've been given many tools that I can apply to my dancing and help me further in my journey as a dancer!’
